Alternate Proposal

We propose that Sections 20 through 24 are not thinned at all at this time. If a thinning is absolutely necessary, we propose that in the sections covering the slopes of Mt. Walker, no more than 15% of the trees be cut and only those that are obviously crowding and affecting the growth of the larger trees required to maintain the canopy. Hikes to Sections 34-35 between Seal Rock Campground and Mt. Walker on east and west sides of Hwy 101 need to be planned.
